Young Horse Romps in Field with Herd

A frisky foal kicks and romps in circles around the rest of the Gila herd.<br />
They live at the International Society for the Protection of Mustangs and Burros in North Dakota. <br />
Three herds are  cared for at the oldest wild horse organization founded in 1960.  Karen Sussman is the third president. Wild Horse Annie, Velma Johnston, was the first. Annie, along with Helen Reilly worked together for the passage of the 1971 Wild Horses and Burros Act to protect horses from slaughter and inhumane treatment.
