Atacama Desert Shadows

Desolate beauty of the Valle De La Luna (Valley of the Moon) results from sculpting by wind and water over millions of years. Floods and wind have left an array of oddly shaped polychrome desert land forms. The view from a tall dune shows a stark landscape. The Atacama Desert in Chile is known as the driest place on earth where parts of the desert go for more than a century without recordable precipitation.
