Newmont Ghana is a two year old gold mine that pulls about 500,000 onces a year out of this gold mine. They had to resettle many people in communities neighboring their mine. They built houses for them and are trying to do community projects that involve increasing protein, health etc....But the problem is once you move a farmer off his land for a gold mine, he has nothing to do.
