White Mother and Baby Horse

A white foal and his mother at Patchen Wilkes farm are extremely rare in the world. Only 16 white thoroughbreds have been recorded in the studbook in 107 years out of more than 1.7 million registered. The farm has bred several generations that are genetically bred to be white--not albino. <br />
The mare and foal descend from the first non-albino white thoroughbred registered in 1963--White Beauty. Patchen Beauty raced in the mid-1990s.
