Totem Pole Raising

Totem raising ceremony in heavy rain storms in Klawock where seven poles are added to the Tlinget park. People carried one pole through town where it was carved and all helped pull on ropes to raise it into place. Tlingit, Haida and Shimshane people came together for the historic event,
